Sometime overnight on 25 July 2022 a vehicle was entered in the Pine Street area identification and several bank cards were taken.

Some of the property was located nearby and it was later discovered that a stolen bank card was used at a Circle K.

In the early afternoon of 21 October 2022 three individuals entered Great Lakes Outfitters, located at 162 Old Garden River road. The three suspects each grabbed armfuls of snow suits and boots and ran out of the store. A little after midnight on the 24 October the individuals returned, breaking into the store taking more items. Over $1000.00 worth of items were stolen.

On the 26 September 2022 a person attended at the city police station reporting that their debit card was stolen out of their vehicle. On 28 September 2022 at around 10:45 PM someone set fire to the front part of a house on Pretoria Hill. An accelerant was used to start the fire causing extensive damage to the front entrance of the residence. 

A neighbor's video surveillance camera captured an unknown person walking to the house and shortly after the fire started walking away.

Crime Stoppers and the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police are requesting your assistance in identifying suspect(s) involved in a theft of drilling equipment.

Sometime between August 5th and August 8th, 2022, unknown suspect(s) attended MacCallum Road and Highway 129 north of Thessalon.  Suspect(s) cut a padlock from a roll up door of a cube van and stole the following items:

On 26 May 2022 at around 4:13 PM a male entered the LCBO in the Station Mall located at 293 Bay Street. The suspect spent several minutes in the store before proceeding to the liquor aisle where took a 375 ml bottle of Vodka valued at $16.60 concealing it in his pants. The suspect was checked by staff after becoming suspicious but was unable to locate any bottle. The staff later reviewed video surveillance footage showing the theft.

On the 31 May 2022 at around 2 AM two males broke into the compound of Superior Marine located at 43 Industrial Court. Entry was gained by cutting the lock to the gate. The suspects took gas cans from a boat that was used to fill up a Cub Cadet Lawn tractor that was removed from a crate. The suspects eventually drove away with the Cub Cadet lawn tractor valued at approximately $3000.00.

Over the past 30 days 15 incidents of counterfeit US 50.00 bills passed at several locations in the city were reported to police. On the 28 April 2022 at around 6:00 PM a male entered the Canadian Tire located at 200 McNabb Street and attempted to purchase an item with three counterfeit US 50.00 bills. The clerk became suspicious and notified store security and the incident was caught on video surveillance.

The suspects proceeded to the candy aisle and began filling the bags and pockets with chips and candy bars valued at approximately $225.00. The suspects then walked out of the store without paying for the items.
